(I intend to clarify some points on the last post, but need to get the psychologist's report out of my files. So, until then...)
Kristin, I haven't seen you post much about ice cream lately. This week I found a new treat that I love: Klondike strawberry cheesecake flavor bars. Mmmm. They have chunks of graham cracker crust stuff mixed in. Also, a friend in Toledo, Ohio reports that her favorite flavor of ice cream is
Toft's yellow Cake Batter. I don't think we have this brand around here. Do you have it up in Michigan? Anyone else? What's your favorite ice cream?
I've actually been trying to do the slim-fast thing lately. But also eating Klondikes at night for dessert. My husband assures me that there's nothing wrong with that. (As if I needed one more reason to love him.)
Henry had fun for the first few days at L's house, but we think this "inclusion" is getting to be a little too much for him. Today and yesterday he said he didn't want to go. A couple boys like to play a Super Mario video game, and he doesn't like that for some reason- I think it has scary parts and scary music. Of course he can just leave the room if they are playing, but the bad connotation of the music seems to stay with him and trouble him.
So I may try to take tomorrow off and have a mommy/Henry day for the last day of his spring break. I thought we could go to a dollar movie or... I'm not sure what else.

I just started South Beach. It worked very well for me after I had the twins. My youngest is almost 8 months old. I think it's time to stop wearing maternity clothes, don't you think?! I love ice cream though. Especially with hot fudge drizzled all over it. Mmmmm.
Ooooh, being a fan of the mint/chocolate combo, I've been partial to Ben & Jerry's Mint Cookie Ice Cream. So yummy!! BUT! Last week we were at the supermarket and the Godiva Ice Cream was on super-sale ($2 - can you beleive it??) and I spotted pints of White Chocolate Raspberry and I bought SIX PINTS (because I have no self control). So I've been enjoying that for a little while now and Lactiad is making lots and lots of money off me.

Now I'm hungry.
Graham crackers in ice cream has always struck me as a great idea. Many years ago I wrote to Ben and Jerry's with a flavor idea, a la Cherry Garcia. It was called Graham Gnash (get it? Crosby, Stills & Nash?) and was vanilla ice cream with chunks of chocolate covered graham crackers. I still dream that it's in development and any day now I will get a letter telling me they're giving me a lifetime supply.
In the meantime, we are big fans of Edy's French Silk.
AND you can have Klondikes and still stay on your diet - they make a sugar-free "Krunch" bar that's fabulous.
Can you tell you've hit upon a topic I'm passionate about?
Ice cream is calorie free..didn't you know? lol Yummy idea about strawberry Klondike's. Cold Stone Creamery has a cake batter flavor and I love it...too much. It is so rich, I believe, that it does have some calories that like to reside on my back side region :o) Your right Gretchen, I do need to get back on the ice cream wagon!
Kristin
Haagan Dazs coffee with chocolate sprinles on a sugar cone. Had some last night, thank you very much!
Hope Henry's last day of Spring Break was delightful!
